The world can be crazy. Life has become a boring mindless domesticated prescription filled lab rat kind of place. Can you even imagine what kind of idiots we would be if death didn't loom over us.
More money goes towards end-of-life care than is rationally acceptable. Everyone must go, death is our destination. Why do we cling to a carnal, flesh eating world?

Religion - Right and Wrong - What is IS
Religions do nothing more than capitalize on our inability to remember what we were thinking 10 minutes ago. Please, tell us what is is.
Stop being afraid of ignorance. You are just as insightful as everyone else. I personally like helpful, friendly religious activity. I just would love to not have to tiptoe around the concept of having beliefs that weren't sanctioned by someone thousands of years ago.
Right and Wrong is a moment to moment elusive magical property of the world. How we think it can be captured in black and white text is beyond me.

ADD / ADHD - Your Child and the World
You have armchair diagnosed your child with ADD.
Your child is a dreamer who, GOD forbid, doesn't pay enough attention to every single sound in the world or who gets mentally divergent when faced with boring repetitive tasks. Please, I beg you, do not even entertain the thought.
Ritalin = cocaine for kids
Unless your child has extremely severe problems, all they need is your love, understanding, compassion, guidance, attention and a little discipline.
Stupid is as stupid does
Giving children mood altering drugs should not be a worldwide accepted solution to parental neglect or for kids with imagination.

As Basic as It Gets
What is is.
Over the years I have more than exhausted myself examining if there is purpose to life beyond the everyday (sex-eat-sleep) cycle. Choosing what to do with one's free time is probably the most difficult decision that faces us. It helps to have friends and family to occupy our time with. But for people who are alone or alienate themselves purposefully, it can be somewhat of a burden to find a meaningful existence. In a broader sense my philosophy has boiled down to a simple task that covers almost any moment or situation in which I find myself.
I endeavor to be awesome and to help others do so as well.
Everyone's personal definition of awesome will be slightly different, but the feeling of capturing a moment of it here and there, does a wonderful job of adding a touch of purpose to an often confusing world.
